GE slashes dividend to 10 cents

GE slashes dividend to 10 cents General Electric announced that it plans to cut its dividend by 68%, to 10 cents from 31 cents, and will save it $9 billion a year. Shares of General Electric ended the session down 6.5% after the news was announced.
